Sluice is a free escape room you play inside ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. A five-mechanism logic escape room whose exit code is sealed before the water starts rising. For solo play, about 40–55m a session, it needs no signup — open it in your assistant, or paste one link, and play.

How to start
- Open your AI. Start a new chat in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. No paid plan required.
- Paste the room card. The card seals the escape code with a SHA-256 hash and locks you in the pumping station.
- Work the mechanisms. Solve five linked mechanisms, each answer the key to the next, before the tide-glass empties.
- Escape and verify. Speak the final code to lift the crown hatch, then hash the reveal to confirm the seal held.
Questions
- Can ChatGPT actually run a logic escape room?
- Yes. Every mechanism and its answer are printed on the card, so the AI checks your input instead of improvising. It plays the flooded station and the notes while you do the deduction. Because the answers are fixed, it cannot hand you the exit or move a puzzle when you get close.
- How is the ending kept fair?
- The final escape code is committed with a SHA-256 hash printed on the card before you start. The station cannot change the code mid-game, and you hash the revealed answer afterward to prove it never moved.
- Do I need to be good at ciphers?
- No ciphers here. The chain is logic and mechanisms: a circuit trace, an ordering deduction, a logic grid, a gear combination, and an acrostic. Each has a three-step hint ladder plus an answer-on-request option, so you never get stuck, and everything you need is printed on the card.
- What happens if I run out of time?
- A tide-glass sets a 300 cm freeboard, and wrong answers and hints drop it. If it reaches zero the gallery floods and the run ends trapped, scoring zero. You can save at any point and resume the same mechanism in a new chat.
- Do I need an account or any tools?
- No account beyond the chat app. Paste the room card into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to begin. Verifying the seal uses any SHA-256 tool, including ones built into your operating system.
