The game card is every rule of the game, about 13k characters, but not its answers: those stay in a sealed file on this site, so even pasted, No Ghost Speaks: A Halloween Murder Mystery Game needs a chat that can open a link. Pasting the answers in yourself would spoil it. No Ghost Speaks: A Halloween Murder Mystery Game is a free murder mystery game you play inside ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. A Halloween murder mystery game for 12 and over, one to eight at one screen: every answer and lie sealed before play, one accusation to check after. 1–8 players, 45–75m a run. No signup and no app — open it in your assistant, or paste the play prompt anywhere else.
How to start
- Open it in your AI. Tap Open in ChatGPT or Open in Claude and press send, or paste the play prompt into any assistant that can open links. The Host reads a sealed file, so the chat must be able to open a link.
- Tell the Host who is playing. Give first names or nicknames, one to eight. Your guests are the detectives; the AI plays all five suspects.
- Hear the evidence, question the five. Three rounds of four exhibits, read to everyone, each followed by five questions for the suspects, taken round the table. Confront a suspect with an exhibit to break a lie.
- Accuse, then check the seal. Name one person and up to six exhibits that prove it. The Host reads the sealed answer, and you can check its hash at aigamecards.com/verify.
Questions
- Can ChatGPT host a Halloween murder mystery party?
- Not reliably on its own: a plain chat holds no fixed culprit, so its clues drift and an alibi can contradict the evidence it was built on. No Ghost Speaks fixes the night first. Five guests went under alike white sheets at a Halloween supper, and twelve exhibits, two children's sightings among them, decide who was under which sheet. The exhibits, every line the five can say and the lies they tell were written before play. A script checked the exhibits and the lies against a single timeline: exactly one suspect fits all twelve, and the same one still fits alone with any one exhibit taken away. Then the file was sealed under SHA-256. The seal fixes the answer, not each reply your AI gives, so the full file is there to read and check after the accusation.
- Do the guests play the suspects?
- No. The table investigates, and your AI speaks for all five: Isa's son, daughter and nephew, the village schoolmistress and the auctioneer from the mart. They were the ghosts at the supper. The table hears each round's evidence together and puts five questions a round to them, seat by seat, with one person at the keyboard.
- How long does it take, and how many can play?
- Up to eight players around one screen, roughly an hour: three rounds of evidence, fifteen questions, then one accusation. Played alone it is the same case and the same score. Say save between rounds to carry on in a new chat.
- Is it a good Halloween party game for families?
- For players aged 12 and up, yes. It is a killing on Halloween night, told plainly: a woman is thrown down against a fender, with no gore. Two children in the house hear it happen and see the killer pass under a sheet; neither sees the violence. The Host asks only for first names or nicknames, and the farm, the family and the house are invented.
- What does the seal prove, and does the chat have to open a link?
- The seal proves that the culprit, the evidence and every suspect's lines were fixed before your first question; you can rebuild the hash at aigamecards.com/verify. It does not prove that every answer the AI gave was right, and the score is your table's own record. The Host fetches the sealed file at load, so the chat must be able to open a link, and pasting the file yourself would show you the answer. aigamecards.com/launch-matrix lists which apps currently can.
